Deering Oaks Ravine is open!

DO_RavineOPEN_June2021 (1)

Parks and Rec is very excited to announce that the Deering Oaks Ravine is open for the summer! Our crews have been hard at work getting this spectacular water feature up and running. The Ravine is operational 7 days a week, roughly 10am to 7:30pm.

For those of you who have never had the pleasure, the Ravine is a popular, free to the public, wading pool with spray jets designed to surprise and delight children of all ages. The pool is set in the center of Deering Oaks Park with limited nearby parking throughout the park. The ravine wading pool was originally a natural feature of Deering Oaks, first fed by a stream at the head of the ravine, near the intersection of Park and Deering Avenues. It has undergone several incarnations over the years, the first improvement being the arched bridge built in 1911.

We have a number of other locations featuring splash pads throughout Portland to enjoy this summer.
