58 Fore Street - Neighborhood Meeting Notice

Dear Neighbor,

On behalf of Portland Foreside Development Co. (Applicant), please join us for a neighborhood meeting to discuss our plans for Phase 1 of the proposed Portland Foreside Development project to be located at 58 Fore Street, Maine.  A Level III Site Plan Application for the development has been filed with the City of Portland Planning Division on behalf of the Applicant.  The Portland Foreside Development will be located on the former Portland Company Complex site at 58 Fore Street.  The redevelopment of 58 Fore Street into a mixed-use neighborhood highlights the historical significance of the area, access to the waterfront and provides a direct connection fro the adjacent neighborhoods to the waterfront.  The result is a vibrant revitalization of the City's eastern waterfront.  The Phase 1 development program for the project was considered and designed around the overall vision of creating this mixed-use neighborhood and proposes commercial, residential, office, retail, restaurant, marina and public open space uses which are consistent with the Master Development Plan for the site.  Open space proposed for Phase 1 includes plazas for pedestrian use between the individual building components as well as view corridors and access to the waterfront via a walkway along the water's edge.  Portions of the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad and the Eastern Promenade Trail will be relocated close to the waterfront as part of the proposed project.  Construction is anticipated to begin in the Spring of 2020.

Meeting Location:  St. Lawrence Arts Facility, 76 Congress Street, Portland ME

Meeting Date:  Monday, November 25, 2019

Meeting Time:  5:00 - 6:00 p.m.
