[ARCHIVED] Important Reminders Regarding City's Cleanup Efforts Following Nor'easter

City Forestry, Parks, and Public Works crews are busy conducting cleanup efforts following the Nor'easter on 10/17/19. We have over 250 damaged or downed trees on city property and roads.

Please assist these hard-working crews that have been working around the clock by doing the  following:

  • Debris from trees on private property that is left at the curb line will NOT be picked up and remains the responsibility of the property owner. City crew efforts are focused on dealing with extensive damage to our street and park trees and we do not have the resources to remove private tree debris.
  • If you have limbs and tree debris from your own private tree (non-city tree), bring it directly to Riverside Recycling at 910 Riverside Street where it will be chipped.
  • If you have limbs or trees touching wires near your property, please contact CMP directly as City crews can not work on trees entangled with live wires.
  • Please be patient as crews work late and through the weekend to remove debris. Priorities are clearing roads, sidewalks, and school routes. Debris may be left on the side of the road as crews work quickly to open routes, returning for full cleanup later.   Full cleanup from this significant storm may take weeks or months.
