Dear Neighbor,

On behalf of 40 Free LLC., we are pleased to invite you to a neighborhood meeting to discuss our plans for the proposed project at 40 Free Street within the B-3 zoning district.  The project involves the redevelopment of the existing surface parking lot into a 6-story mixed-use building.  The project will include ground level 5 retail units on Free Street, 51 residential units, a bsement parking garage and a pedestrian walkway connecting the existing surface parking that remains to Free Street.  The project is also subject to Historic Preservation Board review and approval as part of the Congress Street Historic District.

Meeting Location:  JB Brown & Sons, 10 Free Street, Suite #100, Portland ME 04101

Meeting Date:  Wednesday, May 22, 2019

Meeting Time:  5:30 p.m.

The City code requires that property owners within 500 feet of the proposed development and residents on an "interested parties list" be invited to participate in a neighborhood meeting.  A sign-in sheet will be circulated and minutes of the meeting will be taken.  Both the sign-in sheet and minutes will be submitted to the Planning Board.  If you have any questions regarding the neighborhood meeting, please do not hesitate to call me at 775-2655.  We look forward to seeing you at this meeting.

Sincerely,
