18 Luther Street - New Development Review Project


To residents and property owners: Home Start, a non-profit corporation with a mission to create affordable housing on Peaks Island, has submitted an application to amend the conditional zone agreement (C-55) to allow an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) to be added at the single family home at 18 Luther Street. The proposed language would allow an ADU of 400 sf and maintain the single family appearance of the existing building. The amendments also state that the ADU would be an affordable rental unit for households earning 120% or less of HUD median income for Cumberland County. The proposed text amendments are subject to review and a recommendation by the Planning Board.
