[ARCHIVED] City Seeks New Director of Health & Human Services


The City of Portland is currently seeking applicants for the position of Director of Health & Human Services. Applications will be accepted until April 19, 2019. The job posting can be found under Current Openings and the full job brochure can be found here

The Director of Health & Human Services' purpose is to enhance the health and well-being of the residents of Portland in collaboration with our community, state and federal partners. The position is responsible for directing, leading, and overseeing four divisions of the HHS Department, including the Barron Center, Public Health, Social Services, and Elder Services. The work involves planning, organizing, setting objectives, formulating policy, and directing and evaluating the activities of the Department. The FY19 budget for the HHS Department totaled approximately $26 million with a total FTE of 363.9.
