City Hosts February 15 Job Fair to Increase Workforce Diversity

The City of Portland is hosting a job fair to help increase the diversity of its workforce on Wednesday, February 15 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Merrill Rehearsal Hall, 20 Myrtle Street in Portland. Attendees can learn about current job opportunities as well as meet representatives from every department, even those without current openings. 


“One of my top goals as city manager is to increase the level of diversity within our workforce so that we better reflect the community we serve,” said City Manager Jon Jennings. “I hope that job seekers will attend so that they can learn about the variety of employment opportunities that we offer. This job fair is just one way in which we’re working to achieve a more diverse workforce, we’re also in the midst of hiring a new workforce diversity and inclusion specialist.”
