THE CITY CLERK'S OFFICE IS NOW OFFERING MARRIAGE SERVICES BY APPOINTMENT, 
Please call 207-874-8610 for Marriage Licenses and/or Marriage Ceremony - Appointments are Required.

The Clerk's Office is open for walk-ins for all other services in Room 24, via the Myrtle Street Entrance.

About the City Clerk's Office
The Department of City Clerk has three major functions:

Elections, Vital Records, and Custodian of the City Council Minutes.

  • Filing and Issuance of a Birth, Death, Marriage 
  • Dog Licenses/tags

  • Hunting/Fishing Licenses
  • Notary and Dedimus Services
  • Performing Marriages
